US gets 10,000 LEED certified homes

USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) recently announced that more than 10,000 homes in the US have been awarded the LEED certification under the LEED for Homes program. Starting in 2008, more than 10,100 homes across the US have received LEED certification and more than 38,000 additional homes in pipeline. Nate Kredich, USGBC’s Vice President of Residential Market Development stated that “Reaching this milestone signifies the continued transformation of the home building industry towards high-performing, healthy homes that save home owners money.”
