India recently announced its plans to regulate industrial air pollution through a national emissions trading program. The Indian government specified that GHG emissions could potentially be included in the scheme, along with sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter. Pilot projects are planned for the industrial states of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
It remains to be see when the specific inclusions are made.
